Animal Control

Town of Ludington’s Animal Control Officer is Derrick Brown. 

When you find a stray dog, please call Derrick at 715-456-3890, DO NOT call or take the animal to the Eau Claire County Humane Association. 

Dog Licensing

License fees: $20 per dog or $10 for each neutered or spayed dog.

Please print & complete the Dog License Form.
Forms can also be found at the town hall or town shop.

To obtain a license for your dog: Send completed dog license form, proof of current rabies vaccination, a self-addressed stamped envelope, and a check payable to the Town of Ludington to Karen Schulner — S2210 Rockie Rd, Fall Creek, WI 54742.

Wisconsin State Statutes mandate that the owner of a dog more than five months of age on January 1, or five months of age within this year, shall obtain a license prior to April 1 or on or before the date the dog becomes five months of age.

NOTE:  Failure to comply with the mandate to license your dog(s) on time will result in additional fees and potential fines, something no one wants, including the Ludington Board.  Late fees/fines are assessed beginning April 1st.  Please make everything easy and license your dog(s).

If you no longer have a dog that was licensed in the town last year, please call the town treasurer at 715-877-2762 to have the dog removed from our records.

Kennel Owners: Please call the town treasurer at 715-877-2762 to schedule an appointment to purchase a multiple dog license. The cost is $100 for 12 or fewer dogs and $3 for each additional dog.
